2016 Ford Explorer Intent on Claiming Full-Size Crossover Crown

Armed with a newfound sense of style and a whole host of other noteworthy improvements, the new-look 2016 Ford Explorer has seemingly set its sights on SUV-segment supremacy.

And though we at Northgate Ford have no doubt that it'll achieve that aim, we'd nonetheless like you to form your own opinion. Fortunately, you've now got Autotrader pundit, Jabari Jones, in your corner. His evaluation of the latest Explorer is available in the video below:

Though it's technically the Explorer's mid-level engine option, the EcoBoost iteration is anything but middling. Outfitted with a turbo 2.3-liter four-cylinder, the EcoBoost twists out a terrific 270 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque.

Better still, it also just so happens to be the most frugal powertrain of the pack; in front-drive form, for instance, the EcoBoost should return an impressive 22 mpg combined (19 city/28 highway).

If you'd like to learn more about this standout SUV, or wish to get behind the wheel of one, we encourage you to drop by our Cincinnati, OH dealership. Our automotive experts are ready to answer your every question about the Explorer, or any other Ford model within the present portfolio.
